A Piece of a Part

Gut wrenching poetry #2

Premature.

The end is a start of something of which we have no clue. To arrive early, is that bravery, stupidity, or a point that’s moot. Can you know? could you know? Or is it even important if do so prematurely, since either way you end up cold.

Set a baseline and watch it corrode. Decide to ask for help, or you could choose to lay on the road. Either, an attempt to make peace through a hard choice. How will it all end? by your own hand or by the guide of fate.

Many struggle on the approach of the edge. While others charge forward with their choice like no direction but ahead. Polar opposite choices, polar opposite ends. Choose death as a reason to stay behind, or befriend him hoping he’s a listening ear.

A million reasons to stay, and a million reasons to leave. Should you stay, or step outside the door to see what waits? Right or wrong answers, do they apply? Will your own mind or the course of nature decide when to shut off the lights?
